It's been so long and yet the memories of Aviano are still so fresh and vivid!
I live in Illinois as does my brother Mark and think of our time in Italy often. Our dad, Msgt. Ed Bailot, passed away this year and we've moved our mom home from Florida to be closer to us...we do a lot of reminiscing these days.

Okay, the years are passing us by...quickly! I can't remember who planned the last reunion in Colorado, but I am looking for a group who would like to plan a new one. I'm thinking either San Francisco or Las Vegas(might be cheaper to get to by the majority). Would Fall or Spring work better for most? Those interested in planning this, email me....

Hello fellow Saints...I just wanted to pass along some incredible news about one of our own. Technical Sergeant David Keaton is an American hero who risked his life in Afghanistan to save several locals. Below is the artilce from the Air Force Times. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for his service.
Tech. Sgt. David Keaton, an Air Force Special Operations Command pararescueman at Pope Air Force Base, N.C., has been selected for the award, the Air Force Personnel Center announced.
The annual award from the Air Force Sergeants Association recognizes enlisted airmen who perform heroic acts, on or off duty, that save a life or prevent serious injury.
While Keaton was deployed to Afghanistan in October 2007, he saved the lives of five Afghan civilians who were caught in a fire fight.
“At great personal risk, he courageously maneuvered under a barrage of gunfire to render lifesaving care to three children and two women who were critically wounded after being used as human shields by enemy combatants,” Keaton’s award citation said.
Keaton will receive the honor Aug. 27 during the Sergeants Association’s Air Force Honors banquet in San Antonio, Texas.

I was thinking about the '99 reunion the other day as well. I'm in Greenville, SC and in Asheville regularly. You were always one of my favorite upperclassmen-always treated the younger crew really well. Never forgot that. Lets get together for a bite and a beer sometime.

The '99 reunion is never far from my mind. I kept one of the wine bottles that were on the tables Sat.evening and filled it with the sand from the beach. I have it in my livingroom to always remember the great time I had. I would definitely be there in '09 if one is planned.
